Question: How could the text be read and interpreted differently by two different readers?
For nearly all political topics that are discussed by the media in this day and age, there are always more than one way of interpreting the issue. In the opinion column, titled: “Give me your tired arguments”, written by Ann Coulter, it provides her criticism for the outcry against President Donald Trump’s “Muslim Ban”. The intended audience for this piece was conservative, xenophobic, Americans who most likely support Trump’s presidency and the ban. If the text was read by a more liberal, immigrant who is a victim of xenophobia in America, the text would be interpreted as more hateful and they might feel threatened by the traditionalistic ideologies presented in the article.
